As we enter the year 2016, we get quite the treat in college basketball. When the new rankings come out on Monday, it’s pretty certain that we will get a match up of No. 1 vs No. 2 when the Oklahoma Sooners take on the Kansas Jayhawks in Lawrence.
After Michigan State lost to Iowa, we will be treated to en epic match up between the two top teams in the country. The Jayhawks will more than likely move to No. 1, while the undefeated Sooners will come in at No. 2
This Oklahoma team is absolutely loaded with some talent, and of course, the leader of this group is Buddy Hield. So far this season we’re seeing why he is indeed one of the best players in the nation. The talented guard is averaging 24.7 points per game, which is a good reason why the Sooners are in the position they’re in right now.
However, they’ll have a tough task ahead of them in Kansas. They’re led by Wayne Selden Jr., who is averaging 15.5 points per game and is shooting 55.5 percent from the field. Their only loss this season came to the Michigan State team whose loss will let them become No. 1 in the country.
