2. Change is good

It was a good time for the Eagles to move on from Chip Kelly. Likewise, it’s time for Sean Payton to move on from New Orleans before it heads anymore south. He did a lot of good in town, but any very poor season in town could ruin his reputation.

Instead, coming to the Eagles would give both sides a fresh slate. Payton could instill his game plan to an Eagles team that needs a new leader in charge. The no-huddle offense wouldn’t see much life under Payton and that’s a good thing. The players on both sides of the ball seemed exhausted and had lack of stamina no matter how hard they trained and prepared.

It just wasn’t a plan that was going to work out well. Peyton has a much different coaching style and plan that has a proven track record. Eagles players will be able to buy in and be motivated due to his previous track record. The latter is something that waned real fast when Kelly was still in charge, but a change at the head coaching position especially with Payton in charge will be well received.
