Regular season grades for every NFL team
The Tennessee Titans were a remarkably bad football team in the 2015 regular season and there’s a variety of reasons for that. Be it because of injuries to Marcus Mariota throughout the season, injuries to arguably the team’s best defensive player in Jason McCourty, or be it because Ken Wisenhunt did a horrific job of coaching this team, they were simply terrible and played every bit like a 3-13 team.
However, they get the “plus” added to their failing grade because, even coming out of a three-win season, there is still hope for this Titans team. Not only are they one of the youngest teams in the league with a ton of potential and room for growth, but they will also have a new coaching staff coming in that will hopefully be better suited to helping this team grow and succeed.
With players like Mariota, the criminally underrated Delanie Walker, Dorial Green-Beckham, McCourty, Jurrell Casey, and Derrick Morgan, the makings are there for this team to be quite dangerous in the next couple of years, especially with new coaching and growth as they mature and gain experience in the NFL. And this team showed flashes of that this year. However, you can only sugarcoat a 3-13 record so much and an F+ is the best grade that can be given to the Titans.
