Buddy Hield put on the performance of a lifetime on Monday night and he was lighting up the internet.
The Kansas Jayhawks took on the Oklahoma Sooners on Monday night in Lawrence, Kansas in a battle of No. 1 vs No. 2 and, well, there are no words to describe the game that we were treated to. In three overtimes, the Jayhawks were able to come away with the amazing 109-106 win.
For as amazing as this game was, and even with the Kansas win, the star of the show here on Monday night was Oklahoma star Buddy Hield, who dropped in 46 points on Kansas in the loss. Yes, you read that correctly — 46 points. We knew before this game that he was a Player of the Year candidate, but after what we saw on Monday night, he might indeed be the front runner.
When you drop in 46 points in college basketball, that’s quite the feat, and with that being the case, the internet was all over the place with the reactions to this awesome performance.
