Dirk Nowitzki went for a throw down after a play and it really did not end all that well.

Look, when it comes to Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki, it’s really hard to make fun of the guy. With the career that he’s had, you feel like a completely terrible human being if you make light of an embarrassing moment that he has on the floor.

Well, except what happened on Tuesday night. This, you kind of just can’t ignore.

While taking on the Sacramento Kings Tuesday night, Dirk was coming down the floor on a play that would end up being a goal tend. But after the play was whistled Dirk found the ball in his hands and he thought he’d just throw down a casual dunk, even though it didn’t mean anything.

The only problem was, the rim was having none of it and he kinda just stumbled away after.

Yeah, in no way, shape or form was this the finest moment for the Mavericks star on the court in his career, but again, he’s had so many great moments that this won’t even be remembered years from now.

But here on Tuesday night, yes, we can all have a slight chuckle at it.
