After the week of NBA action started with a heavy slate of games on Monday night, the typical trend in terms of number of games continues on. The action dies down quite a bit on Tuesday, Jan. 5 as there will only be four games on the docket, leaving only eight teams in action. Even still, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t some fantastic sleeper options out there for those daily fantasy basketball players trying to construct the ideal DraftKings lineup on Tuesday night.
With the heavy slate of games on Monday, you might have expected that there were numerous sleepers who had big nights, but it was a lot of the high salary players who did most of the fantasy scoring. Subsequently, the handful of sleepers that did emerge were all the more important for DFS players to have in their lineups if they wanted to have any chance of filling their proverbial pockets with winnings.
J.R. Smith of the Cleveland Cavaliers certainly had a big night as he went on a scoring tear from long range and finished the night with 33.3 fantasy points in DraftKings scoring. Moreover, Brooklyn Nets forward Bojan Bogdanovic has a big night for his team as he put up 36.5 fantasy points.
With only four games on the schedule, though, identifying sleepers is going to be just as important as it wound up being on Monday because they are likely not going to be too numerous. Finding the right ones could very well result in a nice payday for DFS players.
