Ben Simmons is maybe the best player in college basketball and some prominent people are beginning to take notice.

There are a lot of people out there that will tell you LSU’s Ben Simmons is the best player in college basketball, and quite frankly, they’re probably right. This 6-10 freshman phenom has dazzled us all so far this college basketball season, averaging 20.5 points with 13.1 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game.

Tuesday night, though, he’ll have one of the toughest tests of his young career when he and the Tigers take on the Kentucky Wildcats, but beforehand, Simmons got some pretty big praise.

Before the game is to get underway on Tuesday night, Magic Johnson went out of his way to say that Simmons is the best prospect that he has seen since — you guessed it, LeBron James.

Of course, this isn’t the first time that we’ve heard this about Simmons, the comparisons to LeBron.

Since he stepped on the court for LSU this season, people have constantly called Simmons the next LeBron and he’s even received that sort of praise from the Cavaliers star himself. The things that he can do for someone his size really are mind-boggling, and that’s the way that we’ve always felt watching James, more or less.

Yet another edition of basketball royalty throwing their praise towards Simmons, which has to be an awesome feeling for the young man.
