5. Dallas Cowboys

If there’s a big name free agent available, the Dallas Cowboys are always going to get in the race. Should Calvin Johnson become available as a free agent in 2016, the Cowboys would certainly have a ton of interest in acquiring his services.

With Dez Bryant on the outside, the Cowboys could either move Johnson on the opposite side of him, or move him inside like some receivers have done when they get older and make him a receptions machine again in the middle of the field.

The Cowboys currently have only a little slated over $10 million in cap space for 2016, but through cap casualties and restructures, they should have no problem making things work if they want to get in the Calvin Johnson race.

They will have plenty of high-end talent from picking so high in the draft to fill the roster out, which will go a long way toward the future with Tony Romo back at the helm. With a high pick in the draft and Romo back, the Cowboys could quickly get back to being a playoff contender in the NFC again.

Adding a marquee name like Johnson would only make them better and would certainly bring a lot of excitement back to Dallas.
