3. Oakland Raiders

The Oakland Raiders began to blossom in 2015. While they could be on the move to Los Angeles in 2016, they are on the move up the ladder in the AFC. With team set at quarterback with Derek Carr and having a young superstar receiver in Amari Cooper, the Raiders are on the verge of being one of the next great offenses in the NFL.

With Michael Crabtree finding his career in Oakland, Latavius Murray being a solid running back option and Clive Walford at tight end, the Raiders could have an elite offense if they added Calvin Johnson to the mix.

Even better for Johnson, the Raiders have $64 million in projected cap space and would be able to offer Johnson more money than any other team in the league. If he believed that the Raiders could turn that corner and become a playoff team in 2016, which is a strong possibility, then Johnson to the Raiders makes all the sense in the world.

The Raiders have done a very good job of acquiring talent on offense and are primed to make big moves in the AFC. It’s time they go out and add that final piece to an offense that Johnson can provide vital leadership to.

It’s a far cry from the days of old, when the Raiders would spend money on washed up talent. Johnson is still good and can become great again in the right situation. That situation just might be the Raiders.
