As we get set for the road to March, who are some of the best college basketball players to begin 2016?

When the new year hits, everyone starts to look at the sporting events that lie ahead sooner rather than later. Of course, people’s minds will immediately turn to the Super Bowl, but right after that, the spring season is upon us which means college basketball brings us all the greatest sporting event on the planet — March Madness. This is where we see some of the best college basketball players in the country shine on the biggest stage.

However, the fact of the matter is that some of these players shine well before the 68-team tournament in March. While it’s unfortunately overshadowed by the game of football, college basketball season gets started in the month of November and this is where some of these amazing on-court talents start to show everyone that they’re ready to make a run at being called the best in the game by the time the season’s over.

With that said, we’ve already seen some amazing players on the court in college basketball, and as is the case every year, there are some that have stood out above all the others. As we get the 2016 calendar year rolling, it’s really easy to point to some of these talents and say they have a legitimate shot at being called Player of the Year by the time the 2015-16 college basketball season is in the books.
