John Wall slips, falls trying to drive around screen vs Cavs (Video)
John Wall was trying to initiate offense off the dribble and instead took a tumble to the floor
Washington Wizards point guard John Wall was not having the best of nights against the Eastern Conference’s best in the Cleveland Cavaliers. While he almost had a double-double just at the start of the fourth quarter, he also had almost as many turnovers as assists and was shooting the basketball with abysmal efficiency. Worse than all of that, he also had one of the most embarrassing moments of the night around the league.
With the Wizards keeping things close in the fourth quarter against Cleveland, Wall tried to use a Nene screen on Matthew Dellavedova to get some space and drive off the right side. However, as he got to the right elbow extended, he completely lost his footing, fell right on his rear, and turned the ball over the process:
Someone needs to Photoshop the “Lance Stephenson blowing” meme into this video as soon as possible.
Luckily for Wall, the Wizards, and NBA fans alike, the point guard was fine after taking the tumble and didn’t have to miss any of the action. However, someone might want to check on his pride just to make sure that’s in tact. Taking a fall like that isn’t exactly the ideal scenario when a players isn’t having the best of nights to begin with.
