Ken Griffey Jr. got the call for the Baseball Hall of Fame and the moment was pretty awesome.

There are some moments that a baseball player strives for in their career, and without question one of those moments is being elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame. This is really the highest individual honor that a professional baseball player can receive, and getting that phone call is nothing short of amazing.

On Wednesday, the latest results were revealed for the 2016 class and one of the men who earned their way in to the hallowed halls was none other than Ken Griffey Jr. Actually, not only did he make his way in, he smashed right through the walls, earning the highest voting percentage in history, surpassing the previous mark set by Tom Seaver.

While this was all going on, after the announcements were made, we got to see Griffey actually get the call from Cooperstown that he was indeed in.

Again, a moment like that has to be surreal and you can’t even begin to imagine what it feels like to be told that soon you will become among the elite in baseball history.
