The NHL All-Star Game jerseys have been revealed

Say what you will about the All-Star festivities of the four North American sports leagues, the National Hockey League is trying different ways to entice fans and the 2016 NHL All-Star festivities in Nashville, Tennessee fit the bill.

This year the NHL mid-season game will be completely different as the league appears to be moving away from the typical Western Conference vs. Eastern Conference traditional game. In recent memory, it has tried putting all of the superstars of the game together and having a school yard pick, regardless of the conference where they reside.

What will happen in Nashville this year is a four on four tournament. This year there will be a four conference tournament pitting each conference against the other three. There are mixed reviews on this new format, depending on who you ask. Some like the new idea that they are trying. Others feel the exhibition game should mean more and it is currently not meaningful at all. Some have even gone as far as to suggest that the National Hockey League should copy Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game and have the game count in some capacity.

Along with the new format come new jerseys. Here are the sweaters that will be worn at the event.

The NHL All-Star weekend is from January 29-31, 2016 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
