Nike has released a brand new shirt to honor Ken Griffey Jr. making the baseball hall of fame.
Seattle Mariners legend Ken Griffey Jr. finally received the call to the hall on Wednesday, and everyone is happy to see one of the greatest to ever play the game get in. Griffey Jr. received the highest vote percentage of any inductee ever and will become the first Mariner recognized in the Hall of Fame.
To commemorate Griffey Jr. achieving the highest honor in professional baseball and making the Hall of Fame, Nike has released a special Ken Griffey Jr. shirt in his honor.

The shirt plays on the fact that his nickname was “The Kid” and highlights his new Hall of Fame Status with the Mariners logo in the upper left corner of the shirt. Even better is the silhouette of Griffey Jr. and his beautiful swing. In the history of the game, there has been few that can say they had as beautiful of a swing at the plate as Griffey Jr. did. As is tradition with Griffey Jr., the shirt also features him with a backwards hat on, which he made cool in baseball.
He was one of the superstars of baseball in the 90’s and is one of the best ever to play the game. He could do it all with his bat and glove, which made him the rare five-tool player that panned out in all areas. He’s the first number one overall pick in the draft to ever make it and he will forever be remembered in the history of the game.
There will be plenty of shirts commemorating him, but this one by Nike is truly special.
