Thunder guard Russell Westbrook is making odd fashion choices yet again

The Oklahoma City Thunder have been struggling a bit as of late, even if their record hasn’t taken that big of a hit. With superstar Kevin Durant dealing with a toe injury, the onus has almost solely fallen on Russell Westbrook to carry the team. As Durant was listed as questionable for the Thunder’s matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night, there was a chance he’d be asked to do the same again. However, he may need to take off the shawl he wore into the arena before putting the team on his back.

Westbrook was seen walking into Chesapeake Energy Arena on Wednesday night sporting some of his trademark odd fashion choices:

While we probably shouldn’t expect anything less from Westbrook at this point considering that he’s the guy who once essentially wore an armored breastplate into an arena, this is certainly a new look. He looks like he’s coming to the arena to bless it with Holy Water—not play basketball.

When you’re as good as Westbrook has been this season and for quite a while now, though, you can really wear whatever the hell you want. Even still, that doesn’t make this particular hat/shawl combo look any less humorous or strange.
