These five players will be key for the Clemson Tigers against the Alabama Crimson Tide in the National Championship.

The 2015 season for the Clemson Tigers has been all about proving the doubters wrong. With a spot in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game and a 14-0 record, Clemson is finally showing the world that they are for real.

The Alabama Crimson Tide come into the game favored over Clemson, but that’s where Clemson has thrived all season. All season long, everyone has been waiting for that moment where Clemson slips up, but with Dabo Swinney at the helm leading his team he made sure that moment never came to fruition.

When they were trailing at the half in the Orange Bowl against the Oklahoma Sooners, people expected it to be the moment where the Clemson season finally dropped off and bowed out. Instead, it was their star players and a stout defense that went on a run and turned the game into a one-sided contest.

The Tigers have the depth of an SEC team playing in the ACC. They also have the talent level of an SEC team, which is why they are just one game away from bringing a National Championship back to the state of South Carolina.

It hasn’t always been easy and they have their biggest battle ahead of them, but they have the players to lead them to the promised land of being champions. With several key players on the team, it’s going to take key performances to knock off the favored Crimson Tide.

Here are five key players for Clemson in the College Football Playoff National Championship.
