With the regular season over and the records reset back to 0-0, the Cincinnati Bengals have as good a chance as any team to win the Super Bowl.

As long as you get to the playoffs, you can win the Super Bowl. The oddsmakers aren’t giving the Bengals a good chance to win at seventh, behind their Wild Card opponent the Steelers, and for good reason. For a team that started 8-0, they’ve finished the season 12-4. They’ve suffered some injuries along the way, but none bigger than quarterback Andy Dalton. Even if Dalton comes back next round, they’re still forced to thrust AJ McCarron into the spotlight. And after Dalton has gone 0-4 in his attempts to win a playoff game, how can you bet on McCarron, in his first season, to get the Bengals their first playoff win since 1990?

Well, as long as the Bengals get themselves motivated, execute a perfect game plan, and get an even contribution from everyone, they have as good a chance as any team to win the Lombardi Trophy. Unlike a team such as the Patriots or the Panthers, the Bengals don’t have a target on their back. Nobody expects them to end up at Super Bowl 50 so this is their chance to fly under the radar.

The Bengals also have to recognize that their regular season record doesn’t matter from here on out, and that all that matters is going 4-0. With that in mind, here are five reasons why the Bengals can pull it off and win the Super Bowl.
