Jason Day has finally spoken out about LeBron James running into his wife during a game and injuring her.

One of the scarier sports incidents of the past year was a crossover of the golfing world and that of the NBA. LeBron James crashed into Ellie Day, the wife of golfer Jason Day, at a Cavaliers game earlier this season which resulted in Ellie being stretchered out of the stadium.

It was a horrifying scene and one that neither Ellie nor Jason have talked about since it happened. That has since changed, as Jason was asked about what happened during a recent interview.

Day spoke to Golf Digest about the incident and said the Ellie ‘took it like a champ’ when LeBron crashed into here.

"Well, I mean, you don’t, what’s [getting in front of her] going to do? It happened so quick, I’m going to do that? I’m not going to stop a 260-pound guy that’s 6-8 running full speed. Ellie took it like a champ, though. (Laughter)”"

Interesting phrasing, but accurate nonetheless. It’s hard to imagine someone as massive as LeBron James is, crashing into you at even half speed let alone the full speed in which he barreled into Ellie. It was a scary scene when it happened, and still one that will make you mindful of sitting courtside at NBA games, but it seems that everyone has come out of it alright.
