High Salary C
Steven Stamkos-Tampa Bay Lightning ($7,600): Stamkos has a two-game point streak and is up to 30 points for the year. His production has slowed a bit over the last season or so and he is not quite the fantasy stud he used to be. However, he is still worth a look most nights for daily fantasy lineups. Tonight’s matchup with Edmonton is favorable, making Stamkos one to target at center.
Patrice Bergeron-Boston Bruins ($7,300): Bergeron is having a fantastic season with 37 points in 38 games. His average of 4.4 fantasy points a game is the highest available among centers tonight and he is coming off a big game Tuesday in which he scored a goal and added an assist. That performance earned his fantasy owners six points. Bergeron has been a solid target all season long so there’s not much risk associated with using him in your lineup.
Matt Duchene-Colorado Avalanche ($6,400): Duchene actually has a great salary considering the fact that he has the third-highest fantasy points average per game (3.7) among centers tonight. He picked up a goal Wednesday night and now has a two-game goal streak. With six points in his last five games a strong case can be made for Duchene to land a spot in your lineup tonight.
High Value C
Jack Eichel-Buffalo Sabres ($5,500): The rookie hasn’t disappointed this season thus far. He’s racked up 26 points and is second among rookies with 13 goals. Eichel has been playing some great hockey as of late with points in four straight games. He has 12 points over the last eight games and can be considered daily fantasy gold right now with a salary below the $6,000 mark. He’ll play a game against a tough Chicago team tonight but the matchup doesn’t keep him from being a top value pick at center.
Adam Henrique-New Jersey Devils ($4,900): Henrique has put together a solid year in New Jersey with 28 points through 39 games. He’s got an even split of 14 goals and 14 assists and just notched a goal his last time out on Wednesday. Henrique’s salary has steadily risen throughout the course of the season but he still offers good value. Take him tonight in an extremely good matchup with Boston. The Bruins are ranked 30th against opposing centers.
Jordan Staal-Carolina Hurricanes ($3,500): Staal hasn’t offered much in the way of fantasy value and he’s not even the best Staal center on the Hurricanes. However, He’s a veteran who knows what to do. He notched a goal and an assist on Wednesday night and has points in two of his last four games. At the price he will cost you there isn’t much risk involved. Taking Staal will allow you to pick up some of the big guns elsewhere.
