Drake was showing off his versatile fandom once again, and apparently Pepperdine is on the list.
This past week the Kentucky Wildcats suffered a notable loss again this season, this time to the LSU Tigers. After the game, LSU phenom Ben Simmons posted a photo on Instagram which was a clear troll of Drake, noted Kentucky super fan. We all assumed that it was a sad time for Drake, who was all over the place with the Wildcats when they were dominating.
It’s really okay, though, because apparently the rapper has found a new team and it’s … Pepperdine?
Yes, as a matter of fact, Drake took in the Pepperdine game on Thursday night in Malibu and he was having himself a good time in that gym cheering them on, as well as in the locker room afterwards.
Dancing in the stands in Malibu for Pepperdine … well, that’s something.
Of course you have to set the highlights to one of his songs.
And not only do they get the pep talk after, but he promises to come back.
Now, after all this, while it is amusing and all, it should be noted that Drake is actually friends with one of the players in Lamond Murray Jr., so that makes it all make more sense.
