High Salary PG

Kyle Lowry-Toronto Raptors (9,000): There are some big name PG on the board tonight with Westbrook, Curry, and John Wall all costing significantly more than Kyle Lowry, but all producing several games under their full value lately.  The most expensive PG that I think you can play with confidence tonight is Kyle Lowry of the Raptors who will be taking on Wall and the Wizards in the early gam.  Lowry has at least 39 fantasy points in four straight games (none of the other guards in the top four can say that).  He also has a solid track record against the Wizards averaging 19 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 2.0 steals in their two previous meetings this season.  Lowry is a multi-category threat when he’s on top of his game, and he has been recently, so look for him to put together a good line tonight to erase a 2-12 shooting performance when these teams met last Wednesday.

Damian Lillard-Portland Trail Blazers (8,900): The Blazers started a tough five-game home stand with a pair of losses to Memphis and the Clippers and tonight they’ll face the defending champion Golden State Warriors for the first time this season. Lillard is just coming back after a few games off due to plantar fasciitis, and his shot has been a mess (28.2%) in his two games back.  He did play 43 minutes on Wednesday against the Clippers though and finished with 44.9 fantasy points. If the Blazers are able to keep the game tonight close, Lillard will need to get his offensive game in gear and return tot he elite level he was playing at before the injury.  While he is risky, I love his upside and the fact that he costs under 9K which is a reduced rate due to his seven-game layoff.

Michael Carter-Williams-Milwaukeee Bucks (7,100): After a slow start to the season where injury and inefficiency actually cost him his starting job for a while, MCW has been rolling lately with at least 30 fantasy points in five straight games while averaging 14.2 points, 8.2 assists, 6.0 rebounds, 1.4 blocks, and 2.0 steals.  He had just his second double-double of the season on Tuesday finishing with 20 points and 12 assists on his way to a very solid 43.6 fantasy points. His price is rising as a result of his production which makes him less of a a steal, but he’s still a solid option to consider as the Bucks face the Mavericks who allow the 11th-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG.

Jordan Clarkson-Los Angeles Lakers (6,100): Even though the Lakers are playing their second game in as many nights, I like Clarkson to continue his solid fantasy production against the Thunder.  Last night he didn’t go off against Sacramento, but he did finish with 15 points, five rebounds, and four assists on his way to 25 fantasy points. He has at least 25 fantasy points in six straight games now and is a multi-category producer who should get you some numbers in the late game.  Clarkson will be taking on Russell Westbrook and the Thunder who have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG. ∗∗∗∗
