Saturday we will be getting a match up that everyone has been looking forward to for the last few weeks as Jacksonville State takes on North Dakota State.
Of course, the success of North Dakota State is no secret and they are no strangers to being in this game. If the mighty Bison get the win on Saturday, they will secure their fifth consecutive national title at this level, which quite frankly is just absurd. And to help the chances of a fifth title happening, news broke on Friday that they will have starting quarterback Carson Wentz back, who has been out since October with a broken wrist.
However, this is no slouch of a team they’re facing on Saturday in Jacksonville State. They come in looking to knock the champs off the perch with a 13-1 record and they have had quite the notable season. Earlier this year, they had nearly the entire nation watching them as they took the Auburn Tigers to the absolute limit, almost pulling off the upset.
If they can get this upset, though, that will be all that matters to them. And although they’re the higher seed, knocking off the four-time defending champion could be considered an upset.
