Thanks to the fact that he missed a long chunk of last season due to injury and his playing time has been sporadic under new head coach Scott Skiles, Orlando Magic youngster Aaron Gordon doesn’t ever seem to be mentioned when talking about the best dunkers in the NBA. Yet it seems whenever Gordon gets a chance to prove he belongs in that discussion he takes advantage of it, which he again did on Saturday night.

While the lack of defense from the Washington Wizards makes this dunk possible, there is a lot to be impressed with from Gordon on this dunk. From the quickness with which he gets into the air before a defender can rotate over to the power that he throws down a double-pump reverse, Gordon put on an incredible display with the chance. Honestly, a dunk like that would do well in a dunk contest setting, to have the guts and ability to pull it off in the fourth quarter of a game is incredible.
If the NBA is smart they will at least give Gordon an invitation to the dunk contest this season to show off his abilities. While he may not be able to beat Zach LaVine he will push him, which is something we all should want to see.
