Ben Roethlisberger injured his shoulder against the Cincinnati Bengals.
In the third quarter of the AFC Wild Card on Saturday night, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was sacked by Bengals inside linebacker Vontaze Burfict. Roethlisberger was forced to leave the game on a cart after slamming his right shoulder into the turf, holding his right arm against his body all the way into the tunnel.

For the Steelers, this could cost them the game. Pittsburgh entered the fourth quarter with a 15-0 lead over the Bengals at Paul Brown Stadium, but things are slowly getting away from it. The Steelers gave up a touchdown right after Roethlisberger got hurt and are now simply trying to hang on. Should they beat Cincinnati, the Steelers would advance to play the Denver Broncos in the AFC Divisional playoffs at Sports Authority Field.
Pittsburgh will now have to play with Landry Jones, who has started a pair of games for the Steelers this season. Jones was able to beat the Arizona Cardinals in relief before getting beaten by the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. Jones once again started later in the year against the Cleveland Browns but was injured on the first series, forcing him from the contest with a sprained ankle.
This would be the third time that Roethlisberger has been hurt this year. The first time was a sprained knee while Roethlisberger was hurt again by Aldon Smith, going down with a foot injury against the Oakland Raiders.
