The best sleeper picks at each position for DraftKings daily fantasy basketball on Saturday, Jan. 9

There has been a trend over the first two months or so of the NBA season where the action has really died down once the weekend begins. However, the slate of NBA games is relatively sizeable in comparison to past Saturdays as there are seven games on the docket. That means that there are 14 teams for daily fantasy basketball players to build their DraftKings lineups with and to find sleepers within.

Plenty of sleepers emerged on Friday night with 10 games and 20 teams in action. Though he wasn’t a terribly deep sleeper, Los Angeles Lakers guard Lou Williams had a career-high in scoring and a monster fantasy outing up there with the top scorers of the night. In the same game, Oklahoma City Thunder center Enes Kanter had a big night off of the bench in terms of fantasy, as he’s done in every matchup with the Lakers. Also earning their keep was Indiana Pacers center Ian Mahinmi and Cleveland Cavaliers guard J.R. Smith, both of whom far exceeded their valuation on DraftKings.

The action is certainly spread out on Saturday as the slate of games kicks off with the Charlotte Hornets going on the road against the Los Angeles Clippers at 3:30 p.m. ET. The action will then last through the rest of the day and conclude with a 10 p.m. ET start for the Golden State Warriors taking on the Sacramento Kings as the nightcap.
