PG—Trey Burke ($5,200)
Admittedly, the Utah Jazz don’t have the most favorable matchup ever on Saturday as they take on the Miami Heat. Even worse is that the Heat have been the NBA’s best defense in terms of guarding point guards. Despite all of that, though, I like Jazz point guard Trey Burke to have a really nice night on Saturday as one of the best sleepers out there.
Burke’s DFS value has been all over the place over the past few weeks. While he has shown solid upside as he’s gone for 28 fantasy points or more in DraftKings scoring in three out of his last 10 games, Burke has also gone for 16 fantasy points or fewer in three of his last 10 games as well. He’s been inconsistent largely because his role has been inconsistent. However, that shouldn’t be an issue on Saturday against Miami.
With Rodney Hood dealing with an ankle injury, there’s a chance that the Jazz shooting guard misses Saturday’s contest. Even if he doesn’t miss the game, the injury will more than likely limit his workload. That opens the way for Burke to see far more playing time in the backcourt. With that kind of opportunity and his abilities, Burke is a more than solid DFS play.
