High Salary D

Duncan Keith – Chicago Blackhawks ($5,800): Keith has been his usual self this season with 26 points in 33 games. He’s quietly been a Norris Trophy candidate. He goes against the Colorado Avalanche. He has 25 points in 43 games against them in his career. He has 11 points in his last 10 games. He averages 2.9 fantasy hockey points per game.

Erik Karlsson – Ottawa Senators ($6,900): Karlsson played on Saturday against the Boston Bruins. That doesn’t matter because Karlsson is so used to skating lots of minutes. He goes against the Capitals, against whom he has 17 points in 19 games during his career. He averages 3.8 fantasy hockey points per game.

High Value D

Aaron Ekblad – Florida Panthers ($4,900): Ekblad hasn’t been scoring lately (just four points in his last 10 games) but that doesn’t mean that he’s not valuable to your fantasy team. He’s still been racking up points during the Panthers 11 game winning streak with shots on goal and plus-minus. He has 19 points this season and is averaging 2.7 fantasy points per game.

Tyson Barrie – Colorado Avalanche ($4,600): Barrie has been great this season for the Avalanche with 29 points in 38 games. He has done well against the Chicago Blackhawks in his career with 12 points in 13 games. He averages 2.7 fantasy points per game.

Matt Niskanen – Washington Capitals ($4,400): Niskanen has stepped in for John Carlson quite well with five points in his last six games. He goes against the Ottawa Senators tomorrow. He averages 2.1 fantasy hockey points per game.
