According to Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, wide receiver Jeremy Maclin has a strained knee and will undergo an MRI.
While the Kansas City Chiefs rolled the Houston Texans in the AFC Wild Card round on Saturday, the big concern coming out of the game was the knee injury that was suffered during the third quarter by wide receiver Jeremy Maclin.
Maclin took a big shot to his right knee and was helped off the field. He also was in tears as he had to be consoled after the injury on the field.
According to Andy Reid in his press conference, Maclin has a strained knee and will undergo an MRI on it.
#Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin schedule for MRI to determine severity of right knee injury. He seems concerned but able to walk out of locker room

If there’s any solace for the Chiefs, it’s the fact that he was able to walk out of the locker room. While that doesn’t tell the whole story of what the MRI will tell, it’s a lot better than the scene on the field where Maclin looked absolutely devastated over the injury.
Maclin has dealt with issues with injuries before and has fought hard to come back each and every time. If this is the end of his playoffs, then it was quite a year for him. If it isn’t the end for Jeremy Maclin on the year, then it will be a big plus for the Chiefs as they roll forward in the postseason.
