No. 1 Kansas Jayhawks vs Texas Tech Red Raiders

As the No. 1 team in the country, the Kansas Jayhawks are going to have a major target on their back for the rest of the season. Sure, anything can change as the Big 12 is very competitive this season, but the Jayhawks will still be considered one of the top teams in the land through March Madness. Can they keep up their 12-game win streak on the road against Texas Tech?

Perry Ellis is one of the veteran leaders of Bill Self’s 2015-16 squad, and he also fronts the team in scoring with 16.1 points per game and 6.6 rebounds per game. Wayne Selden Jr. is second on the team in scoring with a little over 15 points per game and freshman Cheick Diallo, who has been cleared to play, is averaging 5.4 points.

You can bet that Minnesota is regretting the decision to let go of Tubby Smith — at least right now. The Texas Tech Red Raiders are reaping the benefits of having the veteran coach at the helm of the program, sitting at 11-2 overall this season and 1-1 in Big 12 play.

Coming off their first conference loss of the year at Iowa State, the Red Raiders will look to pull off the big upset against the top team in the land. Devaugntah Williams leads the team in scoring with 14.8 points but is shooting under 40 percent from the field. Toddrick Gotcher is a guy to watch for as he’s shooting 42 percent from three-point range.
