During an SEC Conference battle, Alabama center Jimmie Taylor thought twice about body slamming Kentucky‘s Tyler Ulis.
Nothing gets players more riled up then conference play and playing a rival. With the Kentucky Wildcats traveling to take on the Alabama Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa, things almost got chippy in the paint.
After a missed shot on the play, both Alabama and Kentucky players raced to the hoop for the rebound. While everyone was racing for the rebound, Alabama center Jimmie Taylor decided to pick Kentucky point guard Tyler Ulis right off the ground.
Rather than letting him go, Taylor clearly contemplated body slamming the much smaller Ulis.

It’s like all of a sudden, that Taylor remembered that this was basketball and not the UFC, as he decided to drop Ulis and let him go on the play.
He could have easily dropped him with an inverted back-to-belly suplex, but fortunately he thought better of it and realized that’s not how to grab a rebound.
No one likes the other teams in their conference and sometimes it leads to some physicality on the court. However, it never really leads to a wrestling match on the court, which Taylor almost started against Kentucky.
