Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal has stated that the dressing room is too cozy after their win against Swansea.

It has been a season to forget for Louis Van Gaal and Manchester United. His self-lauded philosophy is to keep the ball without any ambition to score goals in any way, shape or form, defend and win games 1-0. United’s form has been exceptionally poor of late. Earlier in the season, while the performances were painfully drab, the results were in the Red Devils’ favor, and they looked in position to make an unlikely title challenge.

However, throughout December and moving into January, the performances have continued to be poor, and now, the results have turned. In fact, before last weekend’s win against Swansea, United had won since the 21st Nov. in all competitions. That is truly shocking, and now sees United sit fifth in the league nine points behind Arsenal.

After the first win in over month, Van Gaal said of the dressing room spirit:

"“No I don’t think so. I think the atmosphere in our dressing room is very good. Maybe too good because they are always protecting the dressing room, their colleagues. That is very good, until a certain point.”"

This is a really peculiar statement from Van Gaal. His side has looked devoid of confidence, they finally get that elusive win, and he suddenly warns them about showing each other too much respect. I can’t imagine the leaders in that dressing room are too happy at Van Gaal criticizing their positive attitude.
