Ryan Shazier levels Giovani Bernard (Video)

Ryan Shazier’s big hit on Bernard led to a forced fumble and recovery for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Trailing 15-0 after a Martavis Bryant touchdown, the Cincinnati Bengals were in great position to get their first points of the game. Giovani Bernard caught a pass and, while he didn’t get the first down, set up a short field goal for Mike Nugent. But before the field goal unit could line up, Shazier’s monster hit led to a forced fumble and recovery by the Steelers, which only added insult to injury:
Mike Tomlin was able to get the challenge flag out in time to give the Steelers possession. The Steelers even ran the ball all the way back, but the touchdown was not given. Predictably, once it was ruled a fumble recovery, the Bengals fans rioted with all kinds of debris being thrown onto the field. They were even cheering and throwing water bottles at Roethlisberger as he was being carted off. What this game has lacked in action, it has certainly made up for in animosity.
Roethlisberger’s injury may give Cincinnati slight hope for a fourth quarter comeback, but they have not been able to shake off their “Bungles” label that has haunted them for years.
