Houston Texans pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney is out for the Wild Card round of the NFL Playoffs.

The NFL Playoffs are about to begin and the Houston Texans open up the Wild Card round against the Kansas City Chiefs. They’ll have to do so without pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney, who is out for the game according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.

The Texans have been an interesting ride this season, but their defense has always been the anchor of the team. Over the last two games, the Texans kept their opponents under six points scoring.

Now the Texans still have superstar and real anchor of the defensive unit, J.J. Watt. But Clowney being on the field draws some attention away from Watt and frees him up at times.

CLowney has had big games at times this season as well, like against the New England Patriots when he collected seven tackles and two sacks. The Texans could be without one of those kind of performers in Clowney.
