Bud Grant wears polo in subzero temperatures (Photo)
Former Minnesota Vikings head coaching legend Bud Grant rocked a polo shirt only in subzero temperatures before the game.
The Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks are playing in a game that is -6 degrees on the field. In fact, it’s so cold in Minnesota, that the Vikings were having trouble selling out their playoff game against Seattle. While everyone is wrapped up in bundles of clothing to stay warm, one man has no fear of the cold weather.
Former Vikings head coach Bud Grant came out for the coin toss on Sunday, and he wasn’t concerned about the subzero temperatures at all, as he wore just a polo shirt, pants and a hat.
Talk about toughness.
Grant is one of the most beloved sports figures in Minnesota sports history and coming out in just a polo shirt in subzero temperatures will only grow his legend among the fans. If Grant can walk out in a polo at 88 years old and show no fear of the cold, then so can everyone else.
He was the coach of the Vikings for 18 seasons and saw all types of weather in his time at coach. Freezing temperatures are going to have no effect on him.
There’s something to be said about old man toughness, but Grant is old man toughness personified.
