Ravens lineman John Urschel pointed out that Vontaze Burfict is a repeat offender when it comes to head shots

Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict will most likely be suspended for his head shot on a defenseless Antonio Brown during the Bengals loss to the Steelers on Saturday. This is not the first time that Burfict has been called out or punished for his actions on the field.

In fact, Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman John Urschel points out that Burfict made a similar hit in his previous game against the Ravens.

The Ravens and Bengals have quite the rivalry so this certainly has the potential to escalate things between the two teams next season. Burfict made a very similar hit to Maxx Williams. In fact, one could argue that it is worse because Williams wasn’t even anywhere near the ball. It should be interesting to see what will happen to Burfict and if he’ll be suspended for any games next season.

Burfict has been fined for a total of over $125,000 in seven infractions during his career. It’s quite likely that he’ll be fined for his hit on Brown even if he’s suspended. He’s been fined $25,000 for twisting the ankles of Greg Olson and Cam Newton back in 2014. Three of those infractions (roughing the passer, facemask and unnecessary roughness) came on one play when he roughed Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

Vontaze Burfict was also fined $31,000 during his rookie season for two infractions against the Green Bay Packers.
