According to several reports out of Italy, Liverpool continue to be linked with Juventus full-back, Martin Caceres.

With Liverpool sitting in eighth place in the Premier League table, the club have been linked to a plethora of names during the transfer window. On Saturday, Bayern Munich’s Mario Gotze denied any truth to rumors suggesting he could be on his way to Anfield, but he has been far from the only player mentioned with a possible Premier League switch.

On Sunday, reports continued to emerge out of Italy that Jurgen Klopp’s side were the front runners to land Juvenuts defender, Martin Caceres. The Uruguayan international has been seldom used this season, featuring in just three matches. The report claims that the Bianconeri are reluctant to sell the 28-year-old to an Italian rival, which is why Liverpool are believed to be the favorites to land the player.

Caceres has never played in the English top flight, but has a ton of experience playing across the continent playing for the likes of Villareal, Barcelona, Sevilla, and Juventus.  He has also made 68 appearances for the Uruguayan national team, winning the 2011 Copa America.

Juventus are looking to win their fifth straight Serie A title this season, and are currently in 4th spot in the Serie A table. They have won eight straight league matches, with Caceres getting the start against Hellas Verona on Wednesday, for the first time since September 12th against Chievo. Juventus will be in action Sunday afternoon, when they travel to Genoa to take on Sampdoria at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
