Bengals Vs. Steelers (2015 Wild Card)

The Cincinnati Bengals have a long list of horrible playoff losses. It has been over 20 years since Bengals fans have been able to say that they’ve won a playoff game. They lost to whatever a T.J. Yates is in two of their most recent ones. Their loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Jan. 10, 2016 has to be considered the most painful and hardest to deal with.

Bengals fans started out with little hope since quarterback Andy Dalton was out with a broken thumb. Beating the Steelers with a backup quarterback? No way. The game started out that way as the Steelers jumped out to a 15-0 lead. To make matters worse, running back Giovani Benard suffered a huge hit to the head that went unpenalized and fumbled the ball in the process.

Then came hope as the Bengals scored 16 unanswered points to take the lead. Even Vontaze Burfict thought the game was over after he intercepted Landry Jones with under two minutes left. But then the Bengals did what they always do: rip out their fans’ hearts. Jeremy Hill fumbled to give the Steelers the ball again. Burfict and Adam Jones both got 15-yard penalties after the play was over with less than 30 seconds left, allowing the Steelers to kick a game-winning 35-yard field goal.
