Russell Wilson fumbled the snap, but still managed to turn the play into a 35-yard gain against the Vikings
The offense in the NFC Wild Card game between the Seattle Seahawks and Minnesota Vikings had been hard to come by through the first three quarters as three Vikings field goals were the only points on the board after three. However, Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson made a little magic happen on a broken play to get things rolling a little bit in that regard.
Already having put together a solid drive that had Seattle at the Minnesota 39-yard line, Wilson fumbled a bad snap and, as the ball danced on the ground behind him, it looked like it was about to be a drive-killing loss. However, Wilson ran back to scoop up the loose ball, bought some time, and threw up a lob to Tyler Lockett who then took the run after catch to the four-yard line:
That was probably the least likely outcome for that play, but Wilson always seems to have some sort of magic in his bag of tricks when it comes to the postseason.
Even better, Wilson capped off the drive two plays later as he found Doug Baldwin for a three-yard touchdown pass that pulled the Seahawks within two points of the Vikings with just over 11 minutes to play.
