Just when it looked like Alabama was maybe ready to run away from Clemson, Hunter Renfrow had the answer.

In the first quarter of the College Football Playoff National Championship Game on Monday, it looked like Alabama was ready to impose their will on the Clemson Tigers. They showed this when Derrick Henry ripped off a 50-yard touchdown run, and it looked like the Tigers might be in early trouble.

But then we were reminded that there are talented players on this Clemson offense like Deshaun Watson and Hunter Renfrow and now we know we have a game.

Right after the Alabama score, Watson hit Renfrow with this 31-yard touchdown strike that sent a clear message to the Tide that the Tigers are not going to roll over and die.

So just like that now, it looks like we have the potential for an offensive shootout on out hands here Monday night, which isn’t really anything that anyone will complain about.

If the rest of the game is like this, then we might have an instant classic in the making here in Arizona.
