According to a report, the Cleveland Browns are going all in to make Hue Jackson their next head coach.
The Cleveland Browns know that they have to be aggressive if they’re going to land a good head coaching hire. The team has been linked to many names since they began their head coaching search, but the one name that they have been prominently linked to is Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Hue Jackson.
After the work that Jackson did with the Bengals offense, he has become a highly sought after coaching target around the league and the Browns have some serious competition if they’re going to land Jackson as their next head coach.
According to Ian Rapoport, the Browns are going all in on their push to get Jackson as their new head coach.
Things are about to get interesting. #Browns are set to make a big push to hire Hue Jackson, source said. They'd like to close it out.

When examining the jobs that are available in the NFL, the Browns might have the least desirable opening at the time. They still don’t have a quarterback of the future on the roster and they need help across the board in several areas.
They’re going to be picking high in the draft again and they’re going to need to nail their draft pick in the upcoming draft or risk another busted talent. They also need a coach that can make sure to get the most out of those young talents and that’s someone like Jackson.
With many teams reported to be after his services, the Browns are really going to have to make that big push as Rapoport reported, if they’re going to land him as their new head coach.
If they do land Jackson as their head coach in Cleveland, the move will bring a lot of excitement to a franchise that needs it. Unlike past coaching hires, Jackson is a name that is highly respected that many see as the next great head coach in football.
The Browns haven’t had many of those.
