Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson found Hunter Renfrow open in the end zone to give the Tigers the lead over Alabama.
The Clemson Tigers rolled early in the first quarter against the stout Alabama Crimson Tide defense. Behind quarterback Deshaun Watson, the Tigers scored twice through the air to take the lead early on the Crimson Tide.
Watson was dropping dimes to his receivers, as he put the ball in places where only his guys could get it. His second touchdown came after Watson took the Tigers right back down the field on Alabama’s defense.
As Watson looked around through his progressions, he found wide receiver Justin Renfrow open in the end zone for an 11-yard strike.
Renfrow reached out and extended to make a great grab and complete the catch.

Watson made the Crimson Tide’s defense struggle early as he used his legs and his ability to fake out defenders closing in on him. He didn’t force any throws and made sure to find the open man on the field.
It was a great pass by Watson and a great catch by Renfrow. The Tigers came out with a lot of energy on both sides of the field early on against Alabama.
