It’s been a fairly rough season to this point for Joakim Noah. Just two years removed from winning the NBA’s Defensive Player of the Year award and finishing fifth in MVP voting, the veteran big man has seen his role diminished considerably under new head coach Fred Hoiberg.

Noah has started just one game thus far in an injury-riddled season, though he returned from a shoulder injury Monday night after missing nine games. Unfortunately for Jo, he was greeted rather rudely by John Wall on this play (h/t @FlyByKnite):

Noah had visions of glory after taking this beautiful pass from Nikola Mirotic, but Wall had other ideas as he sent it back from where it came. Keep reaching for that rainbow, Joakim.
