Prior to Alabama taking on Clemson Monday night, Lane Kiffin had a simple, personal message.

When the Alabama Crimson Tide take on the Clemson Tigers Monday night in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game, of course a lot of eyes will be on Tide offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin. Since he arrived on the Tuscaloosa campus last year, this Alabama offense has been more dangerous than ever with the way he knows how to use his weapons on the field.

However, for those that might not remember, Kiffin has been in a National Championship Game environment before and it did not end well.

A little over 10 years ago, Kiffin was on staff with the USC Trojans for the game that some consider to be the greatest game every played on a collegiate field. In the 2006 Rose Bowl, the Trojans were upset by the Texas Longhorns, so you know that’s something that he never left the mind of Kiffin.

Well, just a few hours before the game on Monday, he more or less confirmed that.

And to make it all better, he specifically made this statement to Reggie Bush and Vince Young.

Very shortly here, we will see whether or not he gets the outcome that he wants.
