Alabama head coach Nick Saban showed off his ability to catch the football with great technique.

Catching a football requires sound technique before and after the snare.

Coaches preach it on a daily basis and Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban showed off his coaching technique on errant pass.

After Clemson Tigers quarterback Deshaun Watson overthrew his receiver on a sideline route, the pass landed right in the arms of Saban, who proceeded to use good technique by tucking the ball.

Coaches gotta believe in what they preach right?

It was another classic example of Saban continuing to show off his greatness in action. There aren’t many coaches that probably have the awareness and ability to haul that in as nonchalantly as Saban did, but hey that’s why he gets paid the big bucks every year (that and the championship game appearances).

There were plenty of great plays early in the National Championship between Alabama and Clemson. Even Saban decided to get in on making the highlight plays on the field.

If Saban can go out and haul in a nice pass on the sideline, then there’s no excuse for any receiver on his team not to go out and do the same against Clemson.
