Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart is expected to play against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.

The top-seeded Carolina Panthers will play their first game of the postseason on Sunday, when they face off against the Seattle Seahawks in an NFC Divisional game.

The Panthers have had some time to get rest with a week off and it appears that they will be getting back a key player just in time for their game against a tough Seattle team. According to Adam Schefter, Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart will be back this week for the game against Seattle. Stewart had missed the last three games of the season with a foot injury.

Getting Stewart back is huge for Carolina against Seattle. He was instrumental in their win on the road at Seattle earlier in the season and to win in the playoffs, teams have to be able to grind out yards on the ground.

Stewart’s been around the block in Carolina for a while and knows just how big of an opportunity that they have on Sunday. It’s not going to be easy against the best defense in the NFL, but the best chance that they have is with a full team on the field ready to go.

It’s going to be ugly and it’s going to be physical. Having a guy like Stewart back on the field is an absolute must for the Panthers.
