Seahawks coach Pete Carroll was so fired up before the game against the Vikings, that he tackled a white board.

Pete Carroll might be in his 60s, but that doesn’t stop the Seattle Seahawks head coach from having a lot of energy. With the Seahawks back in the playoffs getting set to take on the Minnesota Vikings this past week, Carroll was fired up as he usually is for the big game.

In fact he was so fired up on the eve of the game, that he surprised everyone on the team when he tackled a whiteboard like a senile lunatic, according to Sports Illustrated.

"He then walked to the back of the room, away from the team, and everyone wondered what had happened and where he had gone. Next thing they knew, they saw a shock of white hair barreling toward the front of the room, gathering steam straight toward … an unsuspecting whiteboard."

Not only did he tackle the whiteboard in front of his team, but he hit the whiteboard so hard that he ended up breaking it. The board reportedly shattered into pieces and some of his players thought that he had gone mad.

"“We already know he’s the craziest, kookiest coach around,” cornerback Richard Sherman said. “But I was like, he must be getting senile now.”“I was like, he’s trippin’,” receiver Doug Baldwin said. “Like, this old man is trying to hurt himself.”“Of all the crazy s— that Pete has done,” added defensive end Michael Bennett, “this is Top 1, probably.”"

Everyone knows that Carroll is a fun guy that likes his team to have fun, but he’s also wildly unpredictable, which makes the fact that he tackled a whiteboard even better. It might not have necessarily gotten his team fired up and caused them to think he was out of his mind, but there’s no denying the fact that he proved the point.

This is a guy that has stood on top of lockers to deliver inspirational messages, walks up and down the sideline with a big beaming smile on his face every single play and tackles whiteboards. He’s highly unconventional and that’s probably what makes him such a great coach in the NFL.

Carroll is always surprising people with something new every single week of the season.
