Washington Wizards vs Chicago Bulls

Losing five of seven games, the Washington Wizards were sitting at .500 just a few weeks ago and now they’re fighting to stay in the race for one of the top eight spots in the Eastern Conference. Still, though, despite a 16-19 record and last-place standing in the Southeast Division, the Wizards are within striking range of first place at 5.5 games out.

Bradley Beal and John Wall have been a dynamic duo, both averaging over 19 points per game apiece. Wall is averaging 9.6 assists per game while Beal is shooting nearly 40 percent from the three-point line. This team has the talent to get back into the race.

Chicago is coming off a six-game win streak and looking to begin a new streak. It seems as if Fred Hoiberg and the Bulls are finally hitting their stride together, especially as Jimmy Butler is putting up All-Star type numbers through the first half of the year. The young star is averaging 22.1 points and 4.0 rebounds per game.

Pau Gasol is also having one of the best seasons of his career — at least in recent years. He’s averaging a double-double with 16.5 points and 10.8 rebounds per game. The Bulls are just 3.5 games out of first place in the East with a chance to keep on climbing.
