A random cat ran onto the pitch and disrupted a third round FA Cup match between Everton and Dagenham & Redbridge F.C.
The FA Cup has become famous for its wildly unpredictable matches and results. It’s the only competition in England where a team from the fourth division could end up hosting one of the country’s giants and actually winning.
However, on Saturday we saw something even more bizarre. In a third round match between Everton and third division side, Dagenham & Redbridge F.C., a cat stole the show by running onto the pitch. BT Sport caught the hilarious incident on camera, as the cat did it’s best to delay the game as much as possible

Everton’s goalkeeper, Joel Robles, even went as far as to try and make nice with the kitty in the hopes that he would be able to get it off the pitch, but the 25-year-old proved he’s better at stopping shots than cats.
The game would eventually continue with the Toffees ultimately winning, 2-0, at Goodison Park. They will now take on the winner of Yeovil Town and Carlisle United in the next round of the competition.
While this is the first time in the FA Cup that a stray cat took to the pitch, a similar incident occurred in a CONCACAF Champions League match back in 2012. Toronto FC was hosting Santos Laguna in a crucial game at BMO Field when a black cat stormed the field and garnered international headlines.
