Now that the 2015 college football season is over, who is the favorite to win the National Championship already in 2016?

Monday night the Alabama Crimson Tide defeated the Clemson Tigers, 45-40, to become the 2015 National Champions of college football. It brought to an end yet another exciting college football season, which means that now the attention turns to what we can expect in 2016, because, let’s face it, we never really stop thinking about college football.

When we look forward to the next season of college football action, of course we’re all wondering who might be capturing the National Championship following everything that we see take place on the field next year. A good indicator of who the favorites are in 2016 is taking a look at what the folks out in Las Vegas think.

Well, according to Westgate Las Vegas, the Crimson Tide are favored at the moment to repeat as the National Champions when all is said and done in 2016.

It might seem like the safe pick, but it’s a logical one. Although Alabama will be losing some key pieces from this team, they still have some talent returning on both sides of the ball and they have yet another top-notch recruiting class ready to go.

It’s also not much of a surprise that Oklahoma and Clemson are right there breathing down the necks of the Tide. Both of these programs return their outstanding quarterbacks and a lot of talent surrounding them. In all seriousness, it would not shock a lot of people if three of the four Playoff teams from this season were right back in those spots next year.

We’ll see when the 2016 season does play out, but for now Vegas sees the Tide coming away with the trophy once again.
