The Columbus Blue Jackets twitter account wants to make sure that the Edmonton Oilers can’t win the Powerball lottery

The Powerball lottery on Wednesday will be worth $1,500,000,000 if someone has the winning numbers. That’s the largest Powerball prize in history and, undoubtedly, plenty of people want to win the jackpot and come home with the cash. The Columbus Blue Jackets have seen what’s happened in the past, so they wanted to make sure the Edmonton Oilers couldn’t win it.

The Blue Jackets’ Twitter account is the best of any major sports team. Moments like this are why. They have absolutely no chill and no one is exempt from their constant trolling and great humor.

The Oilers have received four first overall picks since 2010. They’ve had the worst record in the NHL in two of those seasons (2010 and 2011), and the second worst record in 2012 but still won the draft lottery. They had the third-worst record in the NHL during the 2014-2015 season but still won the draft lottery and the right to draft Connor McDavid.

Four first overall picks have done nothing for the Oilers as they are still one of the worst teams in the NHL. The Columbus Blue Jackets just want to make sure that there’s no funny business going on this time around.
